| B. C. Junction can reproduce your logo, artwork or favorite design in long lasting, colorful embroidery you'll be proud to wear. We have produced apparel for numerous Railfan associations, Model Railroad Clubs, Museums and historical Societies.
DIGITIZING — The first step is getting your artwork into a format which the embroidery machine can read. This is called digitizing, and is performed on artwork provided by you. The artwork can be a business card, computer generated artwork or even a photograph, and may be any size. The only requirement is that the artwork is clear, concise and an exact replica of the design you want reproduced. Note: There is a one-time setup charge for the digitizing process. The design is kept on file for future orders.
COLOR — Color choices must be made at the time you provide us with your design. Unlike screen printing, embroidery is not charged by color, so your design may have as many as 9 different colors without affecting the price. We have over 350 colors available!
ADDING A NAME — It is possible to add names or other information to a garment along with the logo. Typically, a logo is put on the left chest of a non- pocketed shirt and right chest on a pocketed shirt. Depending on the design, a name can be added to the top or bottom of the design or to the opposite side of the garment.
SIZE CONSIDERATIONS — Embroidery is primarily done in two different sizes. The first is 2.5" - 4.0", which is used on caps, shirts, jacket fronts, apron fronts, bags, etc. However, the area for embroidery on caps is only 2.5" high x 4.5" wide, so a design that measures 3.2" x 4.1" will work on everything but a cap, but a 2.0" x 4.1" design will work on all garments including caps. The other size is a jacket back. This size can measure from 4.0" up to a maximum of 10.5". This size is used for jacket backs and fronts of sweatshirts, and some 1-shirt designs. It is not possible to have a 2.5" design increased to a jacket back size and vice versa. They must be digitized separately.
GARMENTS — B.C. Junction has a wide selection of garments to choose from and we are willing to work with our customers to meet their needs. Embroidery allows the customer to mix an assortment of garments, i.e. some with pockets, some without pockets with two or three different colors of garments. If you are unsure of what type of garment you want, call us. We'll help with some suggestions.
PRICE QUOTES — Mail, fax or e-mail your artwork to B.C. Junction, including colors and type of garment that you are interested in. A general idea of the type of garment is helpful so that we can include the price of the garment in our quote. We do not have a minimum order requirement.
PRODUCTION — After we've received your artwork, provided a quote and have your approval, we proceed with the digitizing process. This process normally takes 2-3 weeks. Once the design has been digitized, you'll receive what is called a "sew-out". At this time, you'll have the opportunity to make non-design changes (color, size, etc.) at no charge. After you've given your final approval, the embroidery process will start, and garments will be purchased and processed. Delivery can take 2 to 4 weeks, so please plan your requirements accordingly.
FINANCIAL — We ask that customers make a deposit of 50% of the total estimated cost of the job, with the balance due at time of shipment. Orders are shipped via UPS. Payment may be COD or credit card. Freight charges are paid by the customer. We look forward to receiving your artwork and working with you in producing a quality embroidered garment that you will be proud to wear. |
